For almost two decades Staff of Life Bread Company has been serving authentic, delicious, artisan bread to the Valley. In 2019 I formed Shenandoah Bakery LLC in order to acquire Staff of Life Bread Company, continuing to make the high quality products you have come to love. Now, it is time to downsize the bakery to create more balance in life.
Bread will definitely be a part of the new footprint of Staff of Life Bread, with some other additions too, if all goes to plan.
I look forward to how the next evolution of Staff of Life Bread becomes a reality. New vision, new breads, & new venues.

You can buy bread at any store....why buy from Staff of Life Bread?
The non-bromated flours, sourdoughs made in house, fresh herbs, fruits and nuts, eggs and dairy, special grain mixes and seed blends are why we are special, plus, NO PRESERVATIVES!!
No preservatives mean that our breads should be eaten upon purchase. If not consumed with in 2-3 days, please consider freezing your breads, double wrapped for freshness, until you are ready for more. We understand customers can get carried away with our delicious offerings and buy more than they can consume in the 2-3 days! This is called "bread buyers remorse" and is common among our newer Bread Fans. Thankfully, our breads freeze so well, you may never know that they have been frozen once they are thawed.
